Bradley Phelps, 71, from Leicester, is the second person in the U.K. to undergo a new type of surgery for chronic acid reflux or GORD – Gastro Oesophageal Reflux Disease.
“It started off as a fairly minor problem which gradually got worse,” he says. “Food is social, it affects all of your life. Suffering from chronic pain at every moment of every day affects your mind.”
Bradley’s procedure was completed by surgeon, Mr. Nicholas Boyle, at the King Edward VII Hospital in London.
