Chronic Pain Video

Chronic pain has been detected in the brain for the first time!

A new study published in the journal, ‘Nature Neuroscience’ has found that chronic pain can actually be “seen” in the brain.

Pain signals were seen in the orbitofrontal cortex which is helpful to doctors because now they can see things like:

– how pain changes over time
– how to predict high levels of pain

If doctors can have better tools to study pain, they can come up with better treatment solutions. There is so much we need to learn and people need better options to manage their pain effectively.
