I have had CRPS in my right ankle/foot since August of 2016 (26 year old female) and have dealt with the ups and downs of this shitty disease and the suicidal thoughts it has brought. For treatment I use nortriptyline (current dose is 50mg but I usually do 150mg) and Ketamine infusions as those are those only treatments that has brought me pain relief/sleep. This year I have noticed an increase in anxiety and depressive mood swings, to where it mimics bipolar disorder. This isn’t the first time this disease has made me irritable and has had a negative impact on my personal relationships.
I am curious to see if any of you have experienced the same and what you have done to combat these thoughts? I do know due to this disease our brains will have an increase in anxiety and depression as well as suicidal ideation.
