An introduction to OSTEOPATHY CHRONIC PAIN CLINICS OF CANADA: the LARGEST pain clinic in the WORLD

With 333 clinics in over 30 countries, as of now, Osteopathy Chronic Pain Clinics of Canada (www.osteopathypainclinic.com) is the largest privately owned chronic pain clinic in the world.

OCPCC was founded in Canada (September 2017) by Dr Shawn Pourgol, MBA, DC, DO, PhD as a non-profit organization. All income generated by Osteopathy Chronic Pain Clinics of Canada is given to the manual osteopaths who work there. The operational expenses of OCPCC is covered by Dr Pourgol’s three osteopathic schools, the National Academy of Osteopathy Canada, the National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) and the National University of Medical Sciences (USA), which is the first and only school of osteopathic manual practice in the United States.

All manual osteopaths, osteopaths, and osteopathic manual practitioners working at OCPCC clinics have taken the mandatory fellowship program in osteopathy chronic pain management offered by National Academy of Osteopathy Canada. The fellowship program is offered free of charge to OCPCC manual osteopaths.

All OCPCC manual osteopaths receive free membership to the Canadian Union of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (founded by Dr Pourgol). CUOMP is the first and only osteopathy trade union in the world. Through CUOMP, the Osteopathy Chronic Pain Clinics of Canada has become the preferred provider of manual osteopathic care to union workers and union members across Canada.

OCPCC in such a short time has become the largest provider of manual osteopathic care in Canada, USA and a number of other countries. In Canada and some other countries extended health plan insurers and auto insurers cover manual osteopathic care provided by OCPCC clinics.

In this video Dr Pourgol explains why he founded OCPCC, its history, operations and how this clinic has changed the profession of manual osteopathy by making it known to patients and doctors.
